WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— The commonwealth has dropped two first-degree homicide charges against a man allegedly involved in the killing of two people in Lycoming County.
On Thursday, Magisterial District Judge Christian Frey announced that Muhammad Davis, a defendant in the January 11th killings of Alisha Seese and Ronald Dailey Jr., will not be facing first-degree murder charges in court.

Judge Frey said Davis's defense attorney requested that the court also drop robbery and theft charges; however, Judge Frey ruled that the evidence "sufficiently established the commission of a crime and that the accused is probably the perpetrator of that crime."
Davis is still facing second-degree murder charges along with kidnapping charges, robbery charges, and other charges related to the killings of Seese and Dailey Jr.
Davis's next scheduled court date is on May 20.
