VALLEY TWP., MONTOUR COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police report a crash on I-80 killed a woman after she was ejected from a car during a collision with a truck.
On February 6 state police were called to a crash involving two vehicles on Interstate 80 at mile marker 225 in Valley Township, Montour County.
I-80 closed due to multi-tractor-trailer crash
Police say a car, driver by Marlene Butters, 58, from Bloomsburg, led the westbound lane for an unknown reason, traveled across the median, and entered the eastbound lane.
The car collided with a tractor-trailer and Butters was ejected from the vehicle on impact. She was pronounced dead on the scene due to the injuries she suffered.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
