Driver dies after colliding with pick-up truck

MONTOUR COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The coroner states a man has died after a collision happened between his vehicle and a pick-up truck.

The Montour County Coroner's Office along with state police are investigating the death of 86-year-old Carl Swisher of Danville.

Teen injured after hit-and-run, driver charged

The coroner reports that the victim was traveling North on State Route 11 when he tried to make a left turn onto Groviana Drive in Cooper Township.

While turning, Swisher turned into the path of a pick-up truck causing the driver to hit the victim's vehicle.

Swisher was taken to Geisinger Medical Center where he died from the injuries.
