Pa. student charged with threats towards school

DANVILLE, MONTOUR COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police state a student is facing charges after he allegedly posted threats online towards the Danville Middle School.

On Wednesday, April 2, around 1:30 a.m., the Danville Police Department was informed of a student posting a threat on social media against the Danville Middle School.

The FBI red-flagged the threat and relayed it to the Pennsylvania State Police, leading to Danville Police contacting the student in question.

Multi-county police chase with stolen car ends in arrest

An investigation was conducted, and the student was taken into custody. The student was charged with terroristic threats and turned over to Montour County Juvenile Probation.

Police say the Danville School District was notified of the incident, and all safety precautions are being met.
