MAHONING TOWNSHIP, MONTOUR COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— The Montour County Coroner's Office, along with the Mahoning Township Police Department, are investigating after a body was pulled from the Susquehanna River on Sunday morning.
Detective Jason Bedisky from the Mahoning Township Police Department stated they were notified just before 11:00 a.m. at the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission Access and Boat Ramp for a report of a body in the water.
Detective Bedisky says that Continental Fire Company was first on the scene, as they were performing water rescue training nearby, and had the body pulled out of the water within minutes.

According to the release, the body was found in the area of the boat launch on River Drive.
Officials have not identified the woman yet, but say she is 5'4, between 150 and 170 pounds, and with multiple tattoos on her arms and legs.
It is unknown how long the woman's body was in the water.
An autopsy has not been scheduled yet, according to Detective Bedisky.
