WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation says lane restrictions are planned for a part of Interstate 81 in Luzerne County.
On Tuesday, PennDOT announced lane restrictions are coming for Interstate 81 North and Southbound mile marker 170 in Wilkes-Barre through Friday, September 5, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. every day.
PennDOT added that the restrictions are to allow crews to set beams for the Route 115 project.
Road closed after 12-inch water main break
Authorities say there will be periodic rolling roadblocks throughout the day, starting at 8:00 a.m. until work is finished each day.
Drivers are encouraged by PennDOT to find another route to avoid traffic delays.
