UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Crews are battling a fire that started Friday afternoon in Northumberland County.
According to the Northumberland County Communications Center, crews were called to the 200 block of Pontius Avenue around 3:00 p.m. for a garage fire that was spreading to the house.

KULPMONT, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— An emotional ceremony in NEPA today remembering the lives lost during the Vietnam War and the September 11 attacks.

58,311, that's how many names are listed on the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington D.C. and how many names are listed on the Vietnam traveling wall.
Each name represents a life cut short, including 22 from Northumberland County.

An annual ceremony this morning recalled the nearly 300 victims killed in the 1778 battle and Massacre of Wyoming.

190 people took part in Yoga on the Roof atop the Electric City garage near the Art Haus Movie Theater.
This morning's turnout is the second highest for the annual event, sponsored by Jaya Yoga.
