SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A stabbing left one person in the hospital and college students concerned for their safety.
It happened Saturday night outside a popular pizza place and just a street next to off-campus student housing in Scranton.
The stabbing happened late Saturday night at the intersection of Mulberry Street and Kellum Court.
The location is just two blocks from the University of Scranton and a few blocks from Lackawanna College.
Students who witnessed the attack say walking those streets is getting scarier and scarier.

JERSEY MILLS, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say four people were sent to the hospital after a motorcycle crash in Lycoming County.
The Lycoming Regional Police Department says they were called to State Route 414 near Jersey Mills in Lycoming County for a reported crash involving three motorcycles.
Monroe County Coroner releases details after deadly Jackson Township crash
Authorities say four people were taken to a nearby hospital and their condition is unknown at this time.

OLD FORCE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — After a weather hiccup on Saturday, conditions could not be better for the final day of a festival in Old Forge.
The Felittese Festival took place all weekend to celebrate the borough's new, sister city partnership with Felitto, Italy.
A delegation from Felitto was on hand for the signing of the partnership which highlights shared culture and history.

PLAIN TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The carnival fun came to veterans for free on Sunday.
The Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center hosted the event for vets who call the VA community living center home and for those in the VA's in-patient units.
Some of the carnival-themed attractions included a pie in the face, frog hop, and bushel basket toss.

The carnival is held each year to show veterans how much they are appreciated for their service and sacrifices.

HUNLOCK CREEK, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Hundreds of motorcyclists came out Sunday to support a cause in Luzerne County.
More than 250 bikers took part in a fundraising bike ride and benefit at Pisano Family Winery in Hunlock Creek.
It featured more than 200 basket raffles, food and beverages, and a merchandise stand for the Wilkes-Barre business, Execution Cycles.
The business co-owners, John JD Daley and Tina Latona, were injured last month in a serious motorcycle crash.

The event includes a 5K run and a one-mile walk at the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail.

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A local group has been holding a walk for the past 13 years to help prevent suicide and honor the memory of those who were lost to suicide.
28/22 News stopped at Kirby Park on Sunday for the walk which helps shed light on the troubling topic.
Walking with a purpose is what all of these people here came out to do Sunday afternoon at the Greater Northeast PA Out of the Darkness Walk.
They may not know each other, but they can all relate to the feeling of losing a loved one to suicide or surviving suicide themselves.

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Monroe County Coroner released details on a Jackson Township crash that left a man dead.
Officials say crews were called to the intersection of Cays Road and Mountain Springs Drive at 11:07 p.m.
Monroe County Coroner Thomas A. Yanac explained in a release the Monroe County Coroner's Office was called to the crash and 45-year-old Stephen LaClair from Palmerton was declared dead by a Monroe County Coroner’s Deputy at 12:11 a.m. after suffering multiple blunt force injuries in a car crash.

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— One person was injured after stabbing early Sunday morning in Scranton.
Lackawanna County Center for Public Safety stated one person was evaluated for a stab wound around 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Wood Street and North Main Avenue.
Officials say the wound came from an incident at nearby Blue Face Global Hookah.
The person was not transported, and it is unclear at this time if a suspect is in custody, or at large.
Scranton Police Department is handling the investigation.
