TREMONT TOWNSHIP, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Getting inside her decked-out Jeep, Jaimee Stecker-Betts isn’t going for a drive around the block.
She’s off-roading on dirt, rocks, and hills at Rausch Creek Off-Road Park in Tremont Township.
Her passion is not for the weak, but it was a reawakening for her years ago.
“I started wheeling eight years ago when I got sober, I found myself in my jeep and in the woods and connected, and it’s been my happy place.”
Now she’s sharing it with other women through the organization ‘Girls Play Off-Road.’

A jury has found Junior Rashean Jackson, of Scranton, guilty on the following charges after a two-day trial:
Possession with intent to deliver fentanyl
Possession with intent to deliver cocaine
Possession of fentanyl
Possession of cocaine
Possession of drug paraphernalia

(WBRE/WYOU) — A letter sent to employees reveals the intent to sign with Tenor Health Foundation for the sale of three major Commonwealth Health Facilities in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre.
According to the letter sent by Commonwealth Health to employees, the sale includes three major Commonwealth Health facilities — Regional Hospital of Scranton, Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton, and Wilkes-Barre General Hospital in Wilkes-Barre.
This would include all of their related sites of care.

DURYEA, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say a man is facing multiple charges after allegations surfaced of him abusing and threatening a child for two years.
On August 5, the Duryea Police Department filed charges against a 54-year-old man after a sexual abuse investigation involving a child.
The investigation began after a ChildLine referral was received in July. The alleged victim was interviewed and claimed multiple incidents of abuse occurred for around two years.

BUTLER TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police have now filed charges against a foster mother and the wife of a man charged with homicide after their foster teen died during a stabbing.
PSP stated that 34-year-old Virginia Delgadillo is charged with the following;
Endangering the welfare of children
Corruption of minors
Tampering with evidence
Virginia Delgadillo of Butler Township is the wife of 38-year-old Cesar Delgadillo, who is accused of causing deadly injuries to a 13-year-old boy whom they were fostering.

ELDRED TWP., LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police are investigating an arson that destroyed a home in Lycoming County.
Pennsylvania State Police Troop F Fire Marshal Unit responded to the 6000 block of Pleasant Valley Road in Eldred Township for a fire investigation that occurred on March 26.
Investigators say the fire started on the front porch and rapidly progressed to the rest of the house. Fire debris that was collected showed that "an accelerant was present" on the front porch, according to state police.
