But, the fair looks much different this year through the eyes of Berwick native Fred Fausnaught Jr., because this will likely be his last. Fred has stage four lung cancer, and it's spreading.
He and his wife, Stacey, wanted to attend the fair one more time, but money was a big concern.After catching wind of their story, the Bloomsburg Fair board gave the couple the VIP treatment, free of charge.

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Weather-related problems are popping up across the region, including a leaky school roof that caused an elementary school to close.
Lyndwood Elementary School in Hanover Township dismissed students at 11:00 a.m. this morning because there was a leak in the roof.
Weather Alert: Gusty winds mixed with rain expected across Pennsylvania
The superintendent says the leak is now contained, and that a contractor is making repairs.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, WYOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) say a student has been arrested after threatening to reenact the Charlie Kirk assassination.
On September 16, a juvenile student was seen climbing to access the roof of a building during a scheduled fire drill at around 9:40 a.m., according to the release.
Superintendent Matthew Rakauskas of the Lackawanna Trail School District says the building was used as a school maintenance garage.

(WHTM)-- The United States Department of Justice is suing Pennsylvania, among other states, for its failure to provide voter registration rolls.
The DOJ's Civil Rights Division announced on Thursday that it is filing lawsuits against six states, including Pennsylvania, for failure to produce their statewide voter registration lists upon request. Other states include California, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, and New Hampshire.
