Officials from the Lackawanna County Communications Center told 28/22 News crews were called at about 8:15 p.m. for a report of a cow on the loose.
Authorities explained that it happened in the area of Sepko Road and Interstate 84 near Madison Township.

McNichols Plaza Elementary in Scranton held its back-to-school fair for the eighth year this morning.
The event included 25 vendors, including businesses, universities, banks, and non-profit organizations.

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Several people are now displaced, and three firefighters are recovering after a fire in Scranton on Sunday night.
There are a few updates to share on Monday on the condition of the firefighters involved in last night's blaze. So far, there is nothing yet on the cause.
"It was just crazy so close to home because I live right here. So, it was right across the street from me," one resident said.

12-year-old Adelyn Hessek is packing something called a "Birthday Bag." It is one of the things kids in need receive for free at a place called Angels and Dragonflies in East Stroudsburg.
Adelyn routinely lends a helping hand at the non-profit that her grandmother runs.
