WEST HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — An Arizona man was arrested after he allegedly stole a woman's purse in Luzerne County.
On Sunday, March 7 the West Hazleton Borough Police were called for a reported theft. Officers said while shopping at a store a woman had her purse stolen by a man who fled the area.
Two accused of over $400 retail theft at T.J. Maxx
Through further investigation, the suspect was identified as Lester Davenport, 63, of Arizona, and officers tracked him to another retail store in Hazleton.
Davenport was charged with theft and receiving stolen property.
