HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A crash involving three cars may lead to a driver facing DUI charges.
On September 10, around 2:30 a.m., officers were called to a crash in the 500 block of West Maple Street in Hazleton.
Police stated an Infiniti was traveling on Maple Street, drove onto the sidewalk, knocked over a "no parking" sign, then struck two parked cars and the side of a house. The Infiniti then got pinned between one of the cars and the house.

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Luzerne County man has been charged with multiple counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.
65-year-old Jeffery Berlew of Wilkes-Barre has been charged with 51 counts of sexual abuse of children and criminal use of a communication facility, according to the press release.
Officials say investigators found that Berlew was uploading child sex abuse materials to Microsoft Bing and served a search warrant at his home.

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — According to Luzerne County Manager Romilda Crocamo, a lockdown has been lifted after a shooting threat prompted a police response at the Children and Youth building Wednesday afternoon.
In a statement to 28/22 News, Romilda Crocamo stated that there was a "third-party shooting threat" for the Children and Youth Building in Wilkes-Barre.

What was left of an apartment building on South Wyoming and East Walnut Street in Hazleton came toppling down early Wednesday after flames ripped through it, leaving destruction overnight.
Emergency crews battled the fire and hotspots for more than ten hours, and the blaze spread to two nearby homes.

SALEM TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — There's an alert on Tuesday after a propane tank explosion on Monday afternoon injured two people. 28/22 News Reporter Joe Mason has an update on the explosion and how to properly store your propane tank.
The two people, a man and a woman, were sent to the hospital for burns and injuries.
That explosion happened at 184 Main Street in Salem Township.
According to the Salem Township Fire Department, a man hit a propane tank with the blades of his sit-on lawnmower. The call came in around 1:53 p.m. on Monday.
