Three lottery winning Powerball tickets sold in Pennsylvania

(WBRE/WYOU) — Three lucky lottery players were sold three winning Powerball tickets in Pennsylvania.

Three people were sold winning Powerball® with Power Play® tickets from the Saturday, September 6 drawing that are worth a combined total of $300,000.

The three $100,000 winning Powerball tickets each matched four of the five white balls drawn, 11-23-44-61-62, and the red Powerball 17.

The winning tickets were sold in Lackawanna and Allegheny counties.

Gunfire in Wilkes-Barre causes property damage in North End

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Multiple gunshots fired in a Wilkes-Barre neighborhood caused damage to several people's property.

On September 6, around 5:30 a.m., officers were called to the 400 block of North River Street for a report of gunshots being fired.

Once on the scene, the victim stated he heard five gunshots fired while he was inside a house, and when he left, he saw bullets had hit his vehicle several times, police reported.

WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Authorities say an inmate at a Wayne County Prison has been charged with assaulting a correctional officer after refusing to take a shower.

Wayne County District Attorney, A.G. Howell, stated charges have been filed against Elizabeth Miceli, 45, of Pike County, an inmate at Wayne County Correctional Facility, after an altercation on August 30.

State police search for missing Pa. man

As stated in the release, Miceli had an altercation with an officer when she refused to shower since entering the facility.
