LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police stated they arrested a man who allegedly sold fentanyl and crack cocaine across Luzerne County.
In November 2024, Pittston City's Special Investigation Unit and Nanticoke City Police Department started a joint investigation into the drug sales of 55-year-old Cain Knight, of Nanticoke City.
The investigation revealed Knight was selling fentanyl and crack cocaine throughout multiple communities within Luzerne County, according to the Pittston Police Department.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, on January 22 around 12:50 a.m., a crash happened on State Route 87 in Plunketts Creek Township.
Juvenile driver charged after hit and run
Police said a car was traveling on SR87 when it hit a curb and lost control exiting the roadway. After leaving the roadway the vehicle hit a tree, killing the driver, 21-year-old Jake Wallace of Montoursville.
LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police are investigating a 102-year-old having over $800 worth of jewelry stolen from them.
State Police reports they were dispatched to the Meadows in Loyalsock Township for a reported theft on January 10.
Police say around $875 worth of jewelry had been stolen from a 102-year-old woman from Mountoursville.

Desiree Linnette, Jason Race, William Wolfe, Faith Beamer, and Sarai Doyle are charged with the torture and murder of 38-year-old Nicole Cuevas.
