Man identified after drowning in Delaware Water Gap

BUSHKILL, PIKE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A man who drowned Tuesday in the Delaware Water Gap has been identified.

The National Park Service says the 30 year-old male that drowned has been identified as 30-year-old Fausto Berrezueta Morquecho, of Parsipanny, New Jersey.

The NPS reminds all river users to wear a properly-fitted, US Coast Guard-approved lifejacket while swimming, floating, fishing, or boating on the Delaware River.

Boy helps save man's life at Luzerne County Fair

LEHMAN TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Luzerne County boy was honored Wednesday after saving a man's life at the Luzerne County fair last Tuesday.

Board President of the Luzerne County Fair Alan Pugh collapsed to the ground in a life-threatening emergency.

10-year-old Ben Hineline was in the right place at the right time and sprang into action.

It is almost time for the Fifth Annual Pocono Irish American Festival.

The free event is hosted by the Pocono Irish American Club.

This year, they will have musical headliners like "Kilmaine Saints", "Glengarry Bhoys", and "Barleyjuice", and of course there will plenty of vendors and activities for children.
