Train crashes with tractor-trailer in Schuylkill County

RUSH TOWNSHIP, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A train collided with a Walmart tractor trailer Thursday afternoon.

According to Schuylkill County Communications Center, the crash occurred in Rush Township around 4:30 p.m.

Ron Mohl, from Reading Northern Railroad Police, stated that the tractor trailer got stuck trying to pass over the tracks.

Officials say that no one was injured during the crash.

LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Charges against a Lackawanna County man accused of firing a gun inside a home were dropped this week.

The charges against Frank Kleinbauer, 47, of Carbondale were dismissed during a hearing in Lackawanna County court on Tuesday. Kleinbauer was originally charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person back in October of 2024.

Fire destroys business in Columbia County

STILLWATER, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A building is destroyed after a massive fire Thursday morning in Columbia County.

According to the Benton Fire Department, the call to crews came in around 8:30 a.m. for a building on McHenry Street in Stillwater.
