Instacart driver shot while dropping off groceries

NEWTON TWP., LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A homeowner is facing charges after police say he shot an Instacart driver who was delivering his groceries.

According to Chief Paul Wolfe from the South Abington Police Department, officers received a call around 7:30 p.m. Saturday for a man shot in the leg at Misty Lane in Newton Township.

Through further investigation, police said they learned that a woman ordered groceries via Instacart, but her husband, 43-year-old Nicholas Sabo was not aware.
