STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Martin Luther King Junior Day is being observed across the commonwealth on Monday. The 28th Annual Juliana and Wayned Bolt Art Contest was held for high school students in Monroe County.

The contest was held at East Stroudsburg University's (ESU) fine arts building.

This year's theme: "Dreams are what we hold onto when hope seems bleak, but hasn't faded."

The art pieces can express the theme or any aspect of Dr. King's life and his philosophy.

Multi-vehicle crash jams up traffic on Interstate 80 West

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — Crews were out Monday night responding to a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 Westbound.

Authorities say the Howard Fire Company was called shortly before 5:00 p.m. Monday to a reported multi-vehicle crash at mile marker 169.6 on Interstate 80 Westbound.

PennDOT says Interstate 80 Westbound is closed from Exit 173 to Exit 163 with all lanes closed.

Officials report the incident will have that area of the roadway closed until 11:45 p.m. Monday night.
