Trump pushes back on tariff criticism: ‘Don’t be a PANICAN’

(The Hill) -- President Donald Trump on Monday pushed back on criticism over his tariffs, calling on Americans to be patient and not be a “panican,” coining a new term.

“The United States has a chance to do something that should have been done DECADES AGO. Don’t be Weak! Don’t be Stupid! Don’t be a PANICAN (A new party based on Weak and Stupid people!). Be Strong, Courageous, and Patient, and GREATNESS will be the result!” Trump said on Truth Social.

Woman identified after fatal crash in the Poconos

BARRETT TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Monroe County coroner has identified the woman killed in a crash over the weekend.

Monroe County Coroner Thomas A. Yanac says Linda Knecht, 63, of Barrett Township, was pronounced dead just after 8:30 p.m. at the scene of the crash on April 5.

3 adults and 3 juveniles charged after alleged poaching

SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Three adults and three juveniles are facing charges after the alleged illegal poaching of seven deer, a raccoon, and the attempted killing of four additional deer.

After an investigation that began in October of 2023, the Pennsylvania Game Commission said the individuals were driving around at night, spotlighting, and shooting deer from their vehicle.
