The runway at Hazleton Regional Airport is buzzed with excitement and purpose as skydivers prepare to climb thousands of feet for a cause that touches countless lives.
Each jump contributes $35 to the Breast Cancer Community Center in Allentown, helping families and funding research.

Firefighting and ambulance crews were on the scene along the 800 block of Tanery Road for hours.
Despite the danger of having to deal with exploding fireworks, there is no report of any injuries after Saturday night's fire in the Poconos.

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Officials say one person is dead after a fire on Sunday in Luzerne County.
The Wilkes-Barre City Fire Department responded to a call for a second-alarm fire at a home on East South Street in Wilkes-Barre around 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, according to Chief Jay Delaney.
Officials say the fire department arrived minutes after the call and found flames coming from the third floor. Firefighters found a victim on the third floor, deceased.

SCOTT TOWNSHIP, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police have released more information after the body of a young boy who went missing Saturday morning was found on Sunday.
Scott Township Police Department Chief Joe Grassley told 28/22 News Sunday afternoon that seven-year-old Aiden Ha walked straight from his home on Old Berwick Road in Scott Township early Saturday morning to the Susquehanna River, a distance of about 30 to 100 yards.
Officials said that Aiden had autism and was non-verbal.

LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — PennDOT is warning drivers to take alternate routes in Luzerne County throughout this week due to scheduled lane restrictions.
Lanes on Interstate 81 northbound between the Nuangola and Wilkes-Barre exits will be closed Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily for bridge repairs.
Police searching for missing Columbia County boy
Lane restrictions will also be in effect on Interstate 80 westbound between the Interstate 81 and Nescopeck exits Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily for dead tree removal.

BUFFALO TOWNSHIP, UNION COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Authorities are investigating a fire in Union County that left one woman dead.
The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Fire Marshal Unit was dispatched around 8 a.m. on Saturday morning for a report of a double-wide trailer on fire on Black Run Road in Buffalo Township, according to the release.
Community raises money for fatal fire victims’ family
67-year-old Daisy Russell was found deceased in the trailer, police say. She was the only occupant of the home.
PSP is investigating what caused the fire.
