WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — It's back to work for crews trying to fix an electrical problem that is keeping the Wyoming Valley Mall closed.
They resumed the job Saturday morning after having Friday off for the holiday.
Word on the scene near Wilkes-Barre is that they are trying to replace a permanently damaged cable with a new one to try and restore power as quickly as possible.

ARCHBALD, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Multiple fire departments were called to a home in Archbald after a bedroom fire started Saturday afternoon.
According to Archbald Police Chief Tim Trently, crews were called to the 500 block of Gaughan Court for a reported structure fire when a family noticed smoke coming from their bedroom just after 1:30 p.m.
Trently says police arrived first, attempting to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher, but were unable to put the fire out.

LOCK HAVEN, CLINTON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Lock Haven Fire Department says that one man was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries after jumping out a second floor window because of a Friday night fire.
Officials say that they were called just before 9:00 p.m. for a reported structure fire on the unit block of Linden Street.
When arriving on-scene, crews found fire and smoke showing from the second floor of the single-family home.

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— The city of Wilkes-Barre hosted its Old-Fashioned Fourth of July celebration and thousands were there to enjoy the day and watch fireworks.
28/22's Avery Nape was there for much of the afternoon.
It was an absolutely perfect day at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre. The sun was out and so were hundreds of people enjoying the beautiful weather and celebrating America's independence.
Family, food, and of course fireworks.
