SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Scranton neighborhood all too familiar with flooding is holding its collective breath this weekend. Heavy rain once again put their properties in peril.
"Oh no. Here we go again," Scranton resident Doris Repshis said.
Flash flooding was the first thought Repshis had in her Keyser Valley neighborhood after heavy rain hit hard and fast early Saturday morning.
The flash flood fears this weekend are a flashback for her of what she and her family experienced nearly two years ago.

MONTOURSVILLE, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Crews were searching for a man in Lycoming County after he reportedly was swept away in Loyalsock Creek.
Montoursville Fire Chief Jeff Hutchins told 28/22 News at about 10:00 a.m. Saturday, a man and a child in a kayak, along with another man in a separate kayak, tried to enter Loyalsock Creek.
Both kayaks immediately struggled to enter the waters due to the heavy currents going downriver, Chief Hutchins explained.

MOUNT CARMEL, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— One man is in custody after a fight just before 9:00 p.m. at a local memorial tournament celebrating its 20th year.
According to a post made by the Mount Carmel Township Police department, units were called to the Mt. Carmel VFW Baseball Post 2110's baseball fields just before 9:00 p.m. for a disturbance.
Northumberland County Communications reported there was a fight between the reporting party and other ale actors, the caller reported that they were on foot heading towards the baseball fields.

(WBRE/WYOU)— The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Flash Flood Warning until 12:15 p.m. for part of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
The NWS has issued a Flash Flood Warning for part of southern Lackawanna County and Northeastern Luzerne County.
The NWS Doppler Radar indicated thunderstorms that were capable of producing rainfall of up to two inches in the affected areas.

PALMER TOWNSHIP, NORTHAMPTON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Palmer Township Police Department on Friday said they are searching for a missing person in Northampton County.
Police are searching for 89-year-old Gene Brocious, who is described as weighing about 140 pounds and standing at about five feet, six inches, with gray hair and blue eyes.
Brocious is also described by officials to have been wearing blue jeans, a blue jacket, and hearing aids, and was last seen in the area of the unit block of Milford Court on Friday at about 2:00 a.m.
