SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man is in custody after police say he assaulted before she escaped from him and ran to a Scranton ice cream shop for help.
According to the Scranton Police Department, on May 8, they were dispatched to Manning's Ice Cream for reports of a woman with cuts asking employees to hide her.
The criminal complaint states that 31-year-old Hakeem Ali Lincoln assaulted a woman after an altercation between the two.

PLAINS TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police arrested an underage drinker for allegedly stealing alcohol from Sheetz.
According to Plains Township Police, on May 5 officers were called to Sheetz on State Route 315 for a reported theft.

Through further investigation, police are charging Tristan Aloe, 20, of Avoca with retail theft after he allegedly took several bottles of alcohol and left the store without paying.

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Luzerne County is delaying certification of the April 23 primary election results due to ongoing court challenges, according to Luzerne County Manager Romilda Crocamo.
Luzerne County counting votes for 117th District race
The pending challenges are in the race for the Republican nomination for state representative in the 117th Legislative District. Only three votes currently separate candidates Jamie Walsh and incumbent Michael Cabell, with Walsh in the lead.

WILKES-BARRE TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly stole adult toys from Target.
On May 5 around 8:40 p.m., the suspect entered the Target, picked up a Happy Cake brand adult toy, removed it from its packaging, and hid it, according to the Wilkes-Barre Township Police.
Police say two other erotic stimulators were also removed from the packaging, and investigators believe the suspects also hid these items.
