A 24-inch water main break on Thursday closed down West Saint Mary's Road, a main road in the township.
Luzerne County data breach may involve personal info
The break caused the cancellation of Hanover Area School District's Thursday night pep rally.
Pennsylvania American Water says the break was repaired overnight into Friday. 28/22 News found crews on scene Friday working on repaving the road.
WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A ceremony at the Wilkes-Barre City Fire Department welcomed two new firefighters to the ranks.
Mayor George Brown attended the ceremony to swear in the additions, Marine Veteran Jacob Delaney and Coast Guard Veteran Danial Lapadula. Delaney has his various firefighting certifications, and Lapadula has six years of volunteer firefighting experience.

SELINSGROVE — Dressed in matching bright orange t-shirts, Susquehanna University students Erica Vondra and Erin Shepherd spent six hours on campus Thursday morning enthusiastically greeting freshmen students and their parents.
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Five people were confirmed dead and many were injured in a crash involving a bus on I-90 near Pembroke that occurred Friday afternoon, New York State Police announced.
Police originally believed at least one child had died, but New York State Troop Commander Andre Ray confirmed later in the day that no children died.
Several other people were injured along with multiple others that were trapped under and around the bus. Police said most of the passengers did not have their seatbelts on, resulting in many ejections.

Luzerne County posted the notice saying there was suspicious activity on an e-mail account associated with the county.
