Driver charged, running red light leads to crash

HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A driver is facing charges after police say they ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle.

On July 28, around 11:30 p.m., officers saw a crash occur at the intersection of North Church Street and West Green Street.

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man is wanted in connection with a stabbing that took place over the weekend in Scranton.

Police say they were called for an incident outside of a home on East Locust Street around 7:30 p.m. on July 27.

Death investigation underway in Luzerne County

According to the Scranton Police Department, a woman was stabbed during a domestic dispute, and the suspect, 38-year-old Paul McGowan, fled the scene on foot.

The victim was taken to the hospital and later released, while McGowan remains at large.

The Clifton Township Zoning Board met Tuesday for a hearing to discuss the township's fate in the potential development. That meeting, though, turned up short.
