MIDDLE SMITHFIELD TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police report a stand-off occurred in Monroe County that ended with a man's arrest.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, on November 12, troopers were called to a residence on Sky Hawk Trail in Middle Smithfield Township for a disturbance.
Through an investigation, it was determined that a fight happened, and the suspect fledthe scene. An arrest warrant was issued for the suspect, Hollis Samuel Edwards.

THORNHURST, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A home in Thornhurst was in flames early Thursday morning.
Crews arrived at Dutter Lane around 5:00 a.m. to a house fully engulfed in flames.
There were no injuries reported and crews believe no one was home at the time of the fire.
Residents raise concerns over Scranton Beltway Project
Four companies responded to take care of the fire and they are unsure how the fire started.
A fire marshal is investigating what could have caused the fire.
