WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say a man trespassed at a towing lot, then broke into a vehicle that was being held for a hit-and-run police investigation.

In July 2025, officers were called to Mike's Towing in Palmyra Township for a break-in. Police stated that a man, later identified as Anthony Ryan, trespassed onto the property, bypassing the gated area.

As stated in the affidavit, Ryan then broke into a vehicle that was being held at the lot for a state police hit-and-run investigation—the items he took out of the car included tools, a guitar and multiple bags.

DANVILLE — The Good Samaritan Mission is in need of donations of new underwear, socks and bras.

HONESDALE, WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man is charged after police say he stole over $25,000 worth of lottery tickets from machines and scratch-off dispensers.

Wayne County District Attorney reported that Jason Conklin, a former employee of Wayne Inn and Java and More, repaid the business after he stole $1,700 from unauthorized play. However, the release states, management later discovered additional missing tickets and vouchers.

SUNBURY — Valley police departments and Northumberland County District Attorney Michael O’Donnell are offering condolences to York County after the fatal shootings of three police officers and the wounding of two sheriff’s deputies Wednesday.
