WATCH: Shooting near school caught on camera

PLAINS TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Video shows multiple shots fired early Monday morning near a school in Plains Township.

28/22 News received surveillance video of shots fired near the intersection of Abbott and Stocker streets in Plains Township around 4:30 a.m.

In the video, someone can be seen firing four shots from a gun while multiple people are running from the scene. Additional shots are then heard off camera.

TUNKHANNOCK TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police report two people have died after a multi-vehicle crash due to fog over the weekend.

On March 15 around 2:30 p.m., officers were called for a crash with entrapment on Route 115 in Tunkhannock Township.

Police say a vehicle was turning from Route 115 south into a driveway when a second vehicle traveling north hit them due to low visibility from the fog.

7th Annual Electric City Reptile Expo slithers back to NEPA

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A scaly spectacle took over downtown Scranton on Sunday. Hundreds gathered at the Hilton for the Seventh Annual Electric City Reptile Expo.

Roughly five dozen vendors and more than 130 tables were displayed, featuring everything from snakes and lizards to turtles and reptile supplies.

Learning self defense, raising money to battle cancer in Olyphant

OLYPHANT, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A local martial arts school is taking the fight against cancer onto the mat. Dozens of women gathered on Sunday at Gracie NEPA in Olyphant.

They took part in what is called "Choke Out Cancer."

The demonstration of women's self-defense techniques doubled as a fundraiser.

Money raised will support Ali Roseman or Archbald, a member of Gracie Nepa who was recently diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer.
