Attorney disbarred after prostitution sentencing

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Lackawanna County defense attorney has officially been disbarred following charges of providing legal services in exchange for sexual acts.

51-year-old Corey Kolcharno pleaded guilty to four felony counts of promoting prostitution in 2023.

13 indicted for car theft ring, linked to homicide

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania announced that Kolcharno was officially disbarred, retroactive to August 2022.

Explosive material inside home prompts investigation, detonation

JACKSON TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police say explosive materials were discovered inside a home, prompting an investigation and a controlled detonation.

On September 24, troopers were called to a home in Jackson Township for a report of several loud explosion noises.

Teens charged after TikTok challenge kills one, other severely injured

Troopers took three people, who were inside the home, into custody for outstanding warrants. However, they did not say if those arrested have been officially charged with the incident.
