Search for alleged porch pirate in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say they are searching for a suspect who allegedly stole an iPhone off a porch in Wilkes-Barre.

On October 21, around 4:00 p.m., officers were called to a home on South Franklin Street to investigate a report of theft.

The victim claimed FedEx had delivered an iPhone 16 to her home and when she went to grab the package, she saw that an unknown man had stolen it from the front porch.

On Monday, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff made stops in Lackawanna and Luzerne County to campaign on behalf of his wife, Vice President Kamala Harris, and her Vice Presidential Candidate Governor Tim Walz.

Presidential campaigns are in full swing across the Keystone State and Emhoff made his way through NEPA Monday afternoon.
