SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Runners of all ages aimed for their best times Saturday at Nay Aug Park.

More than 200 people participated in what's billed as the "BK5K".

It took them two laps around the park to complete the run.

The BK5K Youth Foundation and the industrial supplies company Fastenal holds the event.

It benefits local non-profit youth organizations and programs that need financial help.

The event's initials "BK" stand for Fastenal founder Bob Kierlin who passed away in February.
