An explosion in East Los Angeles Friday morning killed three Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies who were moving undetonated ordnance, according to law enforcement sources.
The blast occurred at the Biscailuz Regional Training Center at 1060 N. Eastern Ave., at about 7:30 a.m., the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
The fallen deputies were identified as Detective Joshua Kelley-Eklund, Detective Victor Lemus, and Detective William Osborn. All three were assigned to the LASD Special Enforcement Bureau’s Arson Explosives Detail.
