Fetterman pushes back on health claims: My doctors say ‘John is great’

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) is pushing back against claims reported by New York Magazine that he is behaving erratically, driving recklessly and missing regular medical checkups, which have raised questions about whether the first-term senator will serve out his six-year term.

Fetterman told CNN’s Manu Raju in a recent interview that his doctors say he is doing fine and slapped down speculation about his mental health and prescription drug regimen as “invasive.”

“My doctors are like, 'John is great,'” the senator told CNN.

I-81 southbound was closed due to crash

LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Interstate 81 southbound was shut down due to a crash Wednesday morning.

According to PennDOT, Interstate 81 southbound was closed at mile marker 200 (East Benton), with a detour in Lackawanna County due to a crash.

Ignited explosive device found inside church rectory

MAHANOY CITY, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man has been arrested after police say an explosive device was discovered inside a church rectory.

According to the Mahanoy City Police Department, officers arrested 32-year-old Kyle Kuczynski, who was wanted on a bench warrant.

Arrest made in tissue plant fire investigation

Police say Kuczynski was wanted in connection with an incident at St. Teresa of Calcutta Rectory on May 6, where an explosive device was ignited inside the chapel.
