Man charged with 201 counts of child pornography

MOOSIC, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Moosic man has been charged with 201 felony counts of child porn.

The Office of Attorney General's Child Predator Section has charged Lucas Kelsey, 44, of Moosic, with 201 felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.

Police say man shot over $5 marijuana debt

The Office of the Attorney General says following a cyber tip, an investigation revealed an IP address that led to a search warrant being conducted at Kelsey's home on Springer Street.

Pair accused of fighting with police officers

DUNMORE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man and woman have been charged after police say the pair fought with Dunmore police officers.

According to the criminal complaint, on May 11, around 1:00 a.m., an officer was patrolling the borough on Prescott Avenue when they claim to have witnessed a man pushing a woman into the roadway with children nearby. 

Police say man shot over $5 marijuana debt

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man has been charged after police say one person was shot and car windows were smashed with a baseball bat over a $5 marijuana debt.

Police say Isaac Blyther, 24, of Wilkes-Barre, has been charged after allegedly shooting a man who was breaking his car windows with a baseball bat over a marijuana debt around 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Man sentenced to up to 27 years for child abuse

MILFORD, PIKE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man has been sentenced to 13 to 27 years in prison after being found guilty on multiple charges in a series of child abuse incidents.

According to Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin, Timothy Paul Lawrence Jones, 48 of Bushkill, was found guilty of 15 separate charges, including:

Strangulation of a household member

False imprisonment

Intimidation in a child abuse case

Endangering the welfare of children

Six counts of simple assault

Other related charges

Along with a $4,300 fine
