(WBRE/WYOU) — As people are waking up and clearing snow off of their cars and sidewalks, the National Weather Service at Binghamton has issued a Snow Squall Warning for several counties.
The warning includes Lackawanna, Wayne, Carbon, Monroe, Pike and Luzerne counties. Around 8:40 a.m., "a dangerous snow squall was located over Elmhurst, or near Scranton, moving east at 45 mph," the NWS reported.

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — PennDOT has announced Route 54 in Ralpho and Mount Carmel Townships along Natalie Mountain has been reopened after it was closed due to disabled tractor-trailers.
Route 54 between Route 487 in Ralpho Township and Route 61 in Mount Carmel Township was closed in both directions due to disabled tractor-trailers. The road has been reopened.

LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Luzerne County Transportation Authority has announced buses will be operating on snow routes on December 5.

The LCTA CONNECTS microtransit service will operate on roads at the driver's discretion. The microtransit service does not have any fixed routes and therefore cannot give a full list of detailed services but LCTA says pick-ups and drop-offs should be able to be completed.
