I-80 reopened after multi-vehicle crash in Clinton County

CLINTON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Traffic was at a standstill and parts of Interstate 80 were closed after a crash involving multiple tractor-trailers and other vehicles on Wednesday night.

Authorities told 28/22 News the Sugar Valley Fire Department and Pennsylvania State Police Lamar were called to the area of Exit 199 on Interstate 80 Westbound around 6:00 p.m. for a crash involving almost 10 tractor-trailers and three to four passenger vehicles.

Officials say there were several injuries reported, but there is no word at this time on their severity.

Pottsville, Pennsylvania-based Yuengling says it'll start serving its five varieties of beer in the state early next year.

POCONO TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A giant gingerbread creation is now on display at Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos as part of their annual snowland celebration.

Celebrity Chef Ashley Holt made the display as part of a competition with TV star and pastry chef Duff Goldman.

Both chefs unveiled their displays on Wednesday and will now compete for a cash prize for charity.

Guests at the Pocono Township and Maryland Great Wolf Lodges are encouraged to post the gingerbread on social media.

The NEPA Youth Shelter has been a place of comfort and care for hundreds of teenagers over the years, and soon, its new location will be right down the road from Scranton High School.

Those who walk or bike the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail will need to take a detour during construction.

Green Ridge Street will stay open for pedestrians during the project.
