SUNBURY — Two men linked to a fatal shooting in August will appear in front of a Northumberland County judge Thursday in an attempt to have homicide charges dismissed.
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM)-- Pennsylvania's 19 presidential electors gathered at the state capitol in Harrisburg today, voting to confirm the results of the 2024 presidential election.
The Republican Party certified presidential electors to represent the 19 electoral votes that Pennsylvania had in the November General Election. Donald Trump and JD Vance won Pennsylvania by more than 120,000 votes over Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, a margin of less than 2%.

(NEXSTAR) — Luigi Mangione has been charged with murder as an act of terrorism in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, authorities announced on Tuesday.
A New York State Supreme Court indictment has charged Mangione, 26, with one count of murder in the first degree, in furtherance of terrorism; two counts of murder in the second degree, one of which is charged as killing as an act of terrorism; and multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
Mangione had previously been charged with murder in Thompson's killing, but the terror allegation is new.
DALLAS, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — President Biden's clemency action for Kids for Cash Judge Michael Conahan continues to draw harsh criticism from people from across Pennsylvania and the nation.
State Senator Lisa Baker, who spearheaded efforts to reform the Juvenile Justice System in Pennsylvania in the aftermath of the Kids for Cash scandal says the clemency is a travesty for the victims and their families.
Senator Baker also criticizes the way the situation was handled without notifying the victims.
SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man has been found guilty on charges stemming from a shooting in Scranton that left a 27-year-old man dead.
31-year-old Travis Anthony Lanzo has been found guilty of first-degree murder of David Deshler.
Mother charged in death of 1-month-old in Luzerne County
The trial began on December 10 for the shooting and killing of Deshler. According to the Scranton Police Department, Lanzo shot Deshler on March 12 near Schultz Court and Mulberry Street in the Hill Section.
SELINSGROVE — A 47-year-old Selinsgrove man died early Monday morning after his pickup truck veered off Routes 11-15 in Hummels Wharf and crashed into a utility pole.
MONROE TWP., SNYDER COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police say a man died at the hospital after a crash on Susquehanna Trail Monday.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, on December 16 around 5:00 a.m., a crash occurred on North Susquehanna Trail on US-11 in Monroe Township.
Coroner called to multi-vehicle crash on Rt. 115 in Luzerne County
Police say the driver, 47-year-old Robert Romig from Selinsgrove, drove off the road, over a curb, hit a traffic sign and a utility pole.
Romig was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead around 6:00 a.m.
