HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — An investigation is underway after an early morning fire in Hazleton. Fire crews were called at around 4:00 a.m. to an apartment building on North Church Street.
There appears to be damage to the upper floors and roof of the home.
The building is now condemned.

The fire chief says five people who lived here were able to get out safely and are now being helped by the Red Cross.
One firefighter was injured but is expected to be okay.
A fire marshal is now investigating.

The Monroe County Communications Center stated that a crash occurred Wednesday afternoon on I-380 Southbound near mile marker 6.
Officials confirmed there are injuries, but the severity and number of injuries are unknown.
