Man allegedly coerced minor into child porn

LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Lycoming County man has been charged with the production of child pornography after he allegedly coerced a child online.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Christopher Stout, 48, used the internet to persuade and coerce a minor to engage in sexual conduct and to produce child pornography.

Stout allegedly received the child pornography in July of 2024 and possessed it in August of 2024.

Large paving project announced on Montage Mountain

MOOSIC, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Lackawanna County announced they will start a large pavement project on Montage Mountain this spring.

The project will repave Montage Mountain Road from the Interstate 81 interchange to the Montage ski resort.

The county will also repave the part of Glenmaura National Boulevard that serves the Shoppes at Montage, the Cinemark movie complex, the adjacent office park, and the entrance road to the William W. Scranton Office Park.

Driver charged with DUI after tractor-trailer gets stuck

TUNKHANNOCK TWP., WYOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A tractor-trailer driver is being charged with DUI after police say his vehicle got stuck in rocks.

On February 3 around 11:22 pm, Tunkhannock Township Police Department was called for a stuck tractor-trailer at the intersection of State Route 3006 and Virginia Drive.
