A block party wrapped up this evening on public square in Wilkes-Barre.
The block party was hosted by unity collective featuring small business vendors, music, community leaders, and interactive art.

Fans are piling into Pocono Raceway by the thousands, getting ready for the weekend.

Hundreds of RVs, campers, and tents piled into the infield at Pocono Raceway.
The energy there was so high, you would think the race already began.

LEWISBURG, UNION COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Crews responded to a tree into a house Thursday evening after storms passed through Central Pennsylvania.
According to Officer Mosso of the Buffalo Valley Regional Police, crews were called to the unit block of South Water Street just after 8:00 p.m. for reports of a tree into a house.
One person was home at the time, but got out themselves.
All utilities were turned off when crews arrived on-scene and will remain off for the night.

(WBRE/WYOU)— Power outages continue to rise across NEPA as powerful storms continue to pass through our area.
Over 7,000 PPL customers are without power across NEPA as powerful storms continue to move through our region.
The hardest hit counties include Lycoming with 1,016 customers, Lackawanna with 941, Columbia with 851, and Northumberland with 507.
First Energy customers are also reporting outages with 638 customers in Bradford County, 431 in Susquehanna County, and 116 in Sullivan County.
