Taylor council votes on solar farm regulations

TAYLOR, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The future of solar farms in one Northeastern Pennsylvania Borough now looks a little clearer.

The Taylor Borough Council unanimously approved a vote to put into place regulations on how future solar farms may operate and develop land.

One solar farm is already in the works and the meeting gave residents a chance to address their concerns.

The ruling is important because, before Wednesday, the borough did not have any official zoning laws in place regarding solar farms.

Family gets closure after man sentenced for wife's death

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A family in our area is finally feeling closure Wednesday after 11 years of heartache.

The sentencing was decided for a Lackawanna County man who killed their daughter in 2013.

The case that began over a decade ago has finally ended.

Bruno Rocuba of Lackawanna County was sentenced to no less than 12 years and no more than 40 years.

Non-profit to open doors more with code blue changes

Agape is a non-profit serving the greater Bloomsburg Area, helping those in need with food security, housing, and more.

Blankets, pillows, and a warm home. These are things that many of us take for granted, but for those dealing with homelessness, they are luxuries that are not always available.
