WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The city of Wilkes-Barre is holding an event to allow residents to get rid of e-waste and private documents.
The mayor's office announced a drive-through e-recycling and paper shredding event for city residents.

WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say a man trespassed at a towing lot, then broke into a vehicle that was being held for a hit-and-run police investigation.
In July 2025, officers were called to Mike's Towing in Palmyra Township for a break-in. Police stated that a man, later identified as Anthony Ryan, trespassed onto the property, bypassing the gated area.
As stated in the affidavit, Ryan then broke into a vehicle that was being held at the lot for a state police hit-and-run investigation—the items he took out of the car included tools, a guitar and multiple bags.
