(WHTM) — What's happening in Texas is leading many states to threaten to redraw their congressional maps, but could that happen in Pennsylvania?

The short answer is no, for now. Pennsylvania is a politically divided state, meaning one party cannot force its will on the other.

Carol Kuniholm is with Fair Districts PA would prefer an independent redistricting commission, but it pleased with the responsiveness of the current map. Pennsylvania's 2011 map was much more lopsided, with 13 Republican seats to just five Democratic.

(WBRE/WYOU) — A lucky lottery player has won $1 million off a Powerball ticket in Pennsylvania.

A Pennsylvania Lottery retailer in Carbon County sold a Powerball® ticket worth $1 million for the Monday, August 4, drawing.

The ticket matched five of the five white balls drawn, 8-9-19-31-38, but not the red Powerball® 21, to win $1 million.

Two accused of over $2,000 retail theft

TANNERSVILLE, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police are searching for two suspects who are accused of a $2,000 retail theft at the Pocono Premium Outlets.

According to the Pocono Township Police Department, on Saturday, August 2, around 3:00 p.m., two people entered the Fossil Outlet at The Pocono Premium Outlets and stole seven watch sets.

Father charged, PSP investigating in alleged stabbing of adopted son

The total value of the stolen items was $ 2,310.00. The suspects then fled the store in an unknown direction when questioned.
