28/22 NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — The editorial staff would like to explain the circumstances surrounding a controversial graphic political advertisement that has been and will be airing on our stations.
The ad in question is from presidential candidate Randall Terry and his running mate, Pastor Stephen Broden. The anti-abortion ad features very graphic and disturbing imagery, and the ads have been purchased to run on both WBRE (NBC) and WYOU (CBS).

MOUNT CARMEL, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police were searching for two girls reported missing in Mount Carmel.
According to the Mount Carmel Borough Police Department, 10-year-old Jaidyn Emburg and 12-year-old Alexis Popp, both from Mount Carmel, were reported missing.
Scranton police officer involved in crash
The two have since been located.

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Scranton police officer is recovering from injuries after a crash.
Authorities say on Thursday, October 31 a Scranton officer operating a motorcycle hit a car on North Main Avenue and Pettibone Street.
Man allegedly forces car off road causing crash, serious injuries
The officer was treated for minor injuries and the driver of the car was not hurt.
Police did not say what led to the crash.
