Blow-up Boston terriers ready for trick-or-treaters in Luzerne

LUZERNE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The decorations keep getting better as we get closer to Halloween. One Halloween house is on Charles Street in Luzerne Borough.

This house features an 18-foot giant inflatable pumpkin and dozens of blow-up Boston terriers ready for trick or treating.

There are also a couple of dragons scattered around the home.

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — People gathered at the JCC in Scranton to remember those lost and the hostages still in Israel.

They took time to remember those from our area through photos placed around the room.

In addition to the program, there were several symbolic items set up as a reminder of the hostages taken one year ago.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has declined to immediately decide questions related to mail-in ballots in the commonwealth with just weeks remaining before Election Day. The court rejected a request to block enforcement of a requirement that mail-in ballots bear a handwritten date. The court said it won't make substantial changes to existing laws and procedures so close to the election. Chief Justice Debra Todd dissented, saying voters and officials needed clarity on the matter before election day.
