I-81 crash causes traffic delays in Lackawanna County

LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Traffic was backed up along Interstate 81 Northbound near the Montage exit after a crash on Thursday.

Officials tell 28/22 News a tractor-trailer and several vehicles were involved in a crash shortly before 6:00 p.m.

KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Struggling families are feeling the love. PAK Pediatrics held its monthly food drive in Kingston on Thursday.

Plenty of fresh produce, meats, and dairy was available for anyone who registered on-site.

The executive director at PAK Pediatrics, JR Vought, says they served about 300 families today with the help of volunteers from local schools and CEO Weinberg Food Bank and shared with us what motivates them to hold it every month.

Accused child rapist arrested in stolen car in Kingston

KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — An accused child rapist wanted in Philadelphia was arrested after he was caught in a stolen car smoking marijuana, police stated.

According to the Kingston Police Department, on Thursday around 9:00 a.m., Chief Kotchik was notified of a parking issue on South Atherton Avenue.

Once on the scene officers said they found a stolen car, with a man inside, identified as Dadaji Early, 53, of Philadelphia, who was actively smoking marijuana
