Recovery efforts begin in places hit by floods

LYCOMING AND SULLIVAN COUNTIES (WBRE/WYOU) — People in Lycoming and Sullivan counties are cleaning up tonight, after severe storms slammed the area Sunday and Monday.

Communities in both Lycoming and Sullivan counties are still cleaning up after Sunday night's rainstorms that brought seven inches of rain to the area.

The flooding washed out several roads in Glen Mawr, Lycoming County, forcing drivers to take detours through rural back roads.

The scene was the same in Davidson Township, Sullivan County, with waterlogged roads and mud.
