Award-winning author, producer George M. Johnson to speak at Bucknell University

George M. Johnson, an award-winning writer, author and executive producer, will be the next speaker in the Bucknell Forum 2023-24 series, presenting on the theme “Freedom of Expression” Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Leanne Freas Trout Auditorium (Room 100), Vaughan Literature Building. They will then engage in a limited Q&A session, where they will answer questions from Bucknell students.

The Bucknell Griot Institute for the Study of Black Lives & Cultures will present actor, vocalist and director T. Oliver Reid as a speaker in its Spring Series on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. in the Elaine Langone Center Forum. The series is free and open to the Bucknell community, as well as the general public.

"Liebe und Lieben" ("Love and Loving") will be a Valentine's-themed concert, considering the month of February dedicated to meditation on this subject.

Three wanted for alleged retail theft at Sheetz

POCONO TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police are searching for three people who allegedly stole from Sheetz.

According to the Pocono Township Police Department, three suspects entered a Sheetz in Swiftwater on February 8 around 7:30 p.m.

Three accused of price tag-switching scheme at Cabela’s

Police say the three were involved in a retail theft incident.

Three counties respond to Wyoming County fire

MESHOPPEN TOWNSHIP, WYOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Firefighters from three counties were called to a fire in Wyoming County Thursday morning.

Ceiling collapse temporarily closes business in Lackawanna County

Officials tell 28/22 News that firefighters from Wyoming, Bradford, and Susquehanna counties were called to a fire on Scrapyard Lane in Meshoppen Township.

The call for a fully engulfed structure fire came in before 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning according to the Wyoming County Communications Center.
