2 injured, hospitalized after propane tank explosion

SALEM TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Two people were injured and flown to a hospital after a propane tank exploded Monday afternoon.

On Monday, the Salem Township Fire Department posted on Facebook information on the incident.

Authorities say they were called around 2:00 p.m. to the 100 block of Main Street in the Beach Haven section of the Township for a fire after a propane explosion.

In a letter to Keystone Sanitary Landfill, the Dunmore Borough Council requested a permanent DEP inspector at the site to address ongoing odor issues.
