According to PSP, on July 12, around 7:50 p.m., troopers were called to Reitz Road in Shamokin Township for a UTV crash with an unresponsive girl.

The investigation revealed four juveniles were occupants inside the UTV when it traveled on a private gravel driveway and tried to make a left turn.
WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A new sinkhole opened up in Wilkes-Barre Monday morning, causing many families to be evacuated.
Horton Street in Wilkes-Barre might have some bad luck when it comes to sinkholes.
Just a few weeks ago, the road was shut down due to a sinkhole caused by stormwater backup; now, it's closed again.
"This is a new sinkhole. We still have the one that opened up at the end of June, and we're still working on that sinkhole. This is in addition to that one," stated Mayor of Wilkes-Barre, George Brown.

Drivers in north central Pennsylvania are advised that the following roads are closed or have lane restrictions due to flooding, downed trees, or utilities.

Route 1025 (Summer Hill Road) between Dairy Road/Twin Church Road and Water Dam Road in Briar Creek Township.
Lycoming
Route 220 between Route 405 in Hughesville Borough, Lycoming County, and Route 42 in Laporte Township, Sullivan County.
FAIRMOUNT TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Tense moments in parts of Luzerne County as heavy rain triggers flash flooding. A summer camp was evacuated after floodwaters surged through the area.
Luzerne County EMA helped coordinate the response to the flash flooding in the county overnight and early Monday morning.
One of the hardest hit areas was Patterson Grove in Fairmount Township, a summer camp. These waters are from Lake Jean and Kitchen Creek. Normally, no water flows through Patterson Grove.
