LendingTree CEO, Bucknell grad Doug...

LendingTree CEO and founder Doug Lebda died in an ATV accident on Sunday, the company confirmed. LendingTree's board expressed deep mourning and extended condolences to his loved ones. Scott Peyree, the company's COO and president, has been appointed CEO. Steve Ozonian will step into Lebda's role as chairman of the board. Lebda founded LendingTree in 1996 to simplify the loan shopping process. The platform launched nationally in 1998. Today, LendingTree’s central online loaning marketplace helps users find and compare loans for mortgages, credit cards, insurance needs and more.
