(WBRE/WYOU) — Hershey announced a new flavor of Hershey's Kisses in collaboration with Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

The Hershey's Kisses emulate the Cinnamon Toast Crunch experience, made with white creme, swirls of cinnamon sugar, and graham-flavored cookie bits to add a crunch.

JIM THORPE, CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Three people escaped injury Wednesday morning during a fire in Jim Thorpe.

Crews were called in around 9:30 a.m. for an active fire in the unit block of Central Avenue in Jim Thorpe.

Multiple fire companies were called in to battle the blaze that heavily damaged the rear of the home and the second floor.

According to a fire official on scene, three people in the home who evacuated safely. A woman working at home smelled smoke and opened her door to see flames.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Amazon has put in a bid to purchase TikTok, a Trump administration official said Wednesday, in an eleventh-hour pitch as a U.S. ban on the platform is set to go into effect Saturday.

The official, who was not authorized to comment publicly and spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the Amazon offer was made in a letter to Vice President JD Vance and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.

The New York Times first reported on the bid.

According to the Pennsylvania Treasury Department, certain types of purchases including gas, hotels, car rentals, and more require a pre-authorization that temporarily puts a hold on your debit card balance.

These charges can be greater than the transaction amount.

Man found dead after house fire identified

POLK TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The coroner has identified the victim of a deadly house fire in Monroe County.

The Monroe County Coroner's Office stated 71-year-old Robert Werner from Polk Township was pronounced dead on the scene of a fire on Long Mountain Road on April 1.

Husband accused of shooting wife inside home

The cause and manner of Werner's death are pending at this time.

Pennsylvania State Police, along with state police fire marshals, are investigating the fire.
