SUNBURY — Vendors are still needed for the Sunbury Police Department’s National Night Out event Aug. 5.

SUNBURY — The Sunbury YMCA has been awarded an $11,000 grant from the Community Giving Foundation to enhance youth programming and increase access to services for local families, according to a press release.

The incident happened on Thursday, July 24, at The Boardwalk, a water park section of Hersheypark.

Hershey Entertainment & Resort, CEO John Lawn, stated, "From the moment our lifeguard team recognized that a child was in distress, they performed an immediate rescue, followed by continuous, coordinated life‑saving efforts by our lifeguards, on‑site first responders, and medical personnel."
